When you stop sharing your location on Find My Friends, the app does not send a notification to your friends, letting them know that you have stopped sharing. It is up to your friends to check the app periodically to see if you are still sharing your location or not. However, if you turn off your location sharing entirely in your device's settings, your friends will receive a notification that their contact is no longer sharing their location.
